I grew up in the west of Ireland surrounded by picturesque mountains of Connemara, rivers, lakes and the Atlantic ocean. I have loved painting since childhood and am a self taught professional artist now. I studied Remedial Linguistics in Trinity College, Dublin, Ireland, but some years later came back to art as it is was my real passion. I built a studio in my back garden and now paint full time. Inspiration can hit at any hour and there is often times when I am awake at 4 or 5 am painting in my studio. I feel I am on an exciting journey of discovery of techniques, stories, experiences and style. The art world is so alive with potential and skill, I find this very exciting and inspiring. I believe artists have a message to convey and are so important for the world.
I’m also a photographer so I use my photos, memories, life experiences, travel and imagination as the inspiration for my paintings.
I will be exhibiting at the Contemporary Art Fair in Paris in March 2020, represented by Monteoliveto Gallery, Nice, France.
I am currently represented by Agora Gallery, New York.
I have exhibited with ArtLimerick, Local Enterprise Galway, and other local art fairs.
