A California native, Niree Kodaverdian is known for her unique paintings. While she holds a Ph.D. in economics from USC, she is equally dedicated to her art, considering herself a full-time economist and full-time artist.
Her popular landscape paintings depict bodies of water with vivid colors, exact lines, and alluring patterns. Though water is the main theme, she depicts the sky with equal prominence to mirror the balance of the natural world.
With the recent pandemic, Niree's style evolved to include abstract paintings. Equally bright and precise, her abstract collection expresses the need for playfulness in a time of uncertainty. These unique paintings are “pleasing to the eye”, "have a soul and magic lines" and looking at them is like a "meditation [where one loses] time and place."
Niree's art has been showcased throughout the OC and LA, most notably at the Las Laguna Gallery, RockStars of Art Gallery, Neutra Museum, and Beverly Hills Art Show.
