Biography:
Born and raised in Cali, Colombia in 1990 and currently a free-lance artist based in Bushwick. I have aspired to be an artist my entire life and have slowly pushed past the barriers that have limited myself and many other artists from breaking into this industry. My current works lean towards the realm of realism with influences in pop surrealism. I take my inspiration from artist such as Dear Kukula and Charlie Immer. I believe the video games and Pixar animated graphics I watched as a child are heavy influences of my work. I try to incorporate gradients and smooth color transitions to resemble CGI animation graphics in most of my work. My works are described as realism with hints of surreal objects or backgrounds. I consider myself to be a very adaptable and diversified artist, open to new mediums and styles of art. I am also a perfectionist as is evident by my work and try to be meticulous of the compositions and colors I choose in my pieces. I am fascinated by color schemes and try to use playful color compositions comparable to those seen in the movies and video games that inspired me growing up. The mediums I’m currently using are Oils, Graphite, Prisma colors, and acrylic.
