Nadea Cutitaru was born in 1983 in Republic of Moldova where she lived, studied and worked in finance.She moved to New York City in 2009 with her family.
In spring of 2015, after exploring the beauty and diversity of New York City, she discovers in herself the talent of creating. Her first work was in pencil and charcoal on paper.
In April 2015 she began her apprenticeship with her friend and mentor, artist Stephen Green.
Nadea experiments with many different techniques and works in mixed media.She enjoys working with acrylic paint on canvas, spray paint, oil pastels, pumice coarse and variety of knife cuts.She loves to balance unique colors, movements, motions, energy, texture and music in her works.
Nadea’s work is abstract combine with female figures and some elements of street art etc.The abstract features textural nuanced color fields offset by dynamic foregrounds. Being in love with diversity of colors she takes them right on to canvas where in the process of creating she gets lost in the beautiful universe of art.
Nadea’s emotions impacts her art, what concerns her at one or another moment in her life she translates it thru the act of painting onto canvas, by telling a story with lots of bright colors, feminine shape, figurative expressions and abstract figures.
