Adeliza Mole is a painter who has spent a lot of time working on the land in an outdoor environment. Amongst woodland, fields and scrubland, passing through routes regularly, she has honed a unique mind map of appropriate marks and an emotional compass to represent her vision.

Common land is a recurring theme and she seeks out marginalized forgotten and naturalized areas from an unusually elevated viewpoint. There is a definate urge to replace what has been lost in time and place through paint.

Her repertoire ranges from thick applications of intense colour with oils to an ever developing dexterity with watercolours which she determines to push beyond the accepted boundaries and nomalized applications.

Surrounded as a child by a Great Great Grandfathers Landscapes, creativity became paramount. She was also influenced by living for many years in Japan. The mix has meant an artist has evolved known for her individual approach.

Attending Reading University in the 1980's visiting tutors were the likes of Professor Martin Froy, Gillian Ayres, Tom Barret and Peter Kalkhoff. Heightened perceptions and thick paint may have been the generalized information available there but as an artist, intimate relationships, plein air, and ideal landscapes have been her methodology.
