Georgia Boyd is a self-taught Abstract Artist born in Kingston Jamaica. Her mother worked as supervisor in the local factory, her father a lithographer for the Jamaica printing press. At age 16, Georgia moved with family to America and later completed her studies earning a degree in accounting.
As an individual, emotionally scarred from the separation of her family, Georgia remained optimistic with a restless curiosity in the future of man, nature and the Universe. January 2011, Georgia experienced a mental transformation that awakens the unconscious exposing her truth. Georgia discovered painting and would absorb completely in her work. Her illustrations are mirrored unconscious feelings of life experiences transferred to media, that of no preconceived notion projecting universal freedom through each creation.
Since discovering her spiritual gift as a painter, Georgia has completed numerous original drawings, not to including her paintings. Georgia’s works has shown in private collections and have said to leave audience with provoking thoughts. Her incomparable fusion of forms and content is powerful; profound, organic, imaginative, and emotional each piece telling her story referring to the time before a period, the moment before speaking or writing.
