ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Frank Haas

Frank Haas is a native Charlottean and one of the founders of the North Davidson Street Arts District (NODA). Nationally recognized for his work, Haaspainting Seated Woman” has been featured in Saks 5th Avenue advertisements in both Vogue and Gourmet Magazines.

He has exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions throughout the east coast of the USA as well as São Paulo, Brazil. His exhibitions have included the Ward-Nasse Gallery and SAE Gallery in New York City, Waterworks Gallery in Salisbury, NC and RJ Reynolds Gallery in Winston Salem NC. 

Frank has also participated in various community art projects including the 

South End Mural - Charlotte NC,  Bar Harbor Maine Bicentennial Mural,  Festival in the Park-Charlotte NC, Extreme Makeover Home Edition-Charlotte NC, 

and the 1996 Olympic Committee in Atlanta GA.

ARTIST STATEMENT:

C Frank Haas has exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions throughout the east coast of the USA as well as São Paulo, Brazil.

His exhibitions have included the Ward-Nasse Gallery and SAE Galley in NYC,  Plaxall Gallery in Long Island City,  Hart Witzen Gallery in Charlotte NC, Waterworks Gallery in Salisbury NC, and RJ Reynolds Gallery in Winston Salem NC.

Haas’ colorful “Monopoly House” paintings were created as art therapy from the Great Recession
