Mixed Media on Paper
Abbie Manley (Ford) is a contemporary artist from Billings Montana. Her artistic adventure began as a young child. She was always driven by a constant need to create. Over the years Abbie taught herself how to use many different mediums and experimented in mixing them in different ways to achieve the style she was looking for. She primarily uses acrylic paint, prisma color pencils, permanent markers and paint markers to create her 2d work. She uses clay, stained glass, glazes, and found/re-purposed items to create her 3d work. Her subjects are people, situations, and objects from her life translated into her unique perspective of the world. Her art is characterized by vibrant colors, flowing shapes, and bold compositions.
Out of high school Abbie moved to the greater Seattle area and displayed for a few years with Art Not Terminal in Seattle. After she moved home she studied Business at the University of Phoenix and received an Associate’s degree. She currently resides in Laurel and creates her works in her home studio.
