Alexandra Nunes (1981) a Portuguese Artist who currently lives and works in Barcelona. Alexandra is graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Lisbon, specialized in Sculpture, where she was awarded, even without having finished her degree, received a reward from Artist Revelation Sculpture D. Fernando II (Portugal) 2005. Her artistic journey was present in several galleries as both individual and collective exhibitions between Portugal and Spain, as well as publications in magazines and other publications.
Alexandra Nunes explores the expressive reaction evoked by color and shape. Inspired by the color and an influence of abstract expression, the reflection and register of the color are the main focus in her artistic research. Her work stands out due to his forms and colors, creating a conceptual pattern, a visual language of the combination of color, shapes and lines; we can see this perfect alignments aspect has an exclusive pictorial between colors and shapes in her works.
Between these researches, led her to work mostly with watercolors, markers and soft pastels, however today she is focus of experimenting new materials in her drawings and keep reinventing in her work.
