Ribbon Play by Lynn Letourneau, Mixed Media on Canvas

Ribbon Play is a wild, ecstatic play of paint that takes you quickly on an abstract exploration.  This contemporary painting was largely painted in oil.  I could describe the colorful movements of paint utilizing tools such as rubber tipped utensils.  I layered colors of paint using a splatter technique and various brushstrokes to create this abstract expressionist painting.
