All of these are works taken with the iPhone 8 of the scenery reflected on the surface of the city river and canal.
Attention. This is not a painting. It is not a mixed media, it is not a composite photo, it is a picture of a real landscape.
There is an abstract world in the natural landscape.
My photo work proves. There is no border between photography and painting, no border between concrete and abstract, no border between landscape and pattern. And my picture is music.
Once a boy full of curiosity who traveled around his own country, Japan by bicycle, crossed the ocean at the age of 25 to see the world with a small motorcycle. Across the Sahara Desert, Arctic Circle, Jungles in Africa, and Mountains in the Andes... he eventually became a professional traveler, making a living by travel.
94 countries, 4,000 days on the road, beyond the borders and the seas, his freed emotion gave him a different point of view, of how to see common scenes that we see daily.
Then he started photographing cracks on walls or roads, and moss, rusts – they were beautiful that seemed like arts Earth has created. He also focused on local parks and forests, surface on rivers, the colors and the scenes that they show. He began to shoot them with a smartphone. Though these activities, he realizes that true arts are beyond human’s control – they are in the hands of nature and coincidence.
Point of view, with no set ideas. Fujiwara’s photos often appear like paintings, no border between reality and abstract, the world of inclusion. Please experience his art pieces that are full of freedom.
