Artist Residency Program
New York Art Center presents:
A 5 day non residential artist residency program in New York City, in the downtown arts district of TriBeCa.
An immersive arts experience in the capital of the art world, participants will experience 5 days of art tutorials, master classes and workshops with established artists, career painters and art world professionals. As well as field trips to some of the best art galleries and museums in the world.
Studio time and workshops, with topics ranging from how to write your artist statement to perfecting poured resin, will run Monday to Friday from 9:30am to 1pm. Participants will then break for lunch and every afternoon engage in an art focused field trip to some of the worlds best galleries, street art locations or places for you to free the mind and find inspiration for your artwork.
On Friday morning participants will finish off work from their studio sessions and after lunch learn hands on how to hang an exhibition.
We will have an opening reception on Friday evening for the residency group show in the Townley Gallery.
What is included:
Creative space for 5 days.
Art Supplies for the week- study books, study canvas and final show canvas, paints, paint brushes, pencils.
Art focused field trips Monday-Thursday Afternoons.
50% discount in the Townley Gallery café, serving full barista bar, smoothies, grilled cheese, baked goods, salads.
An art exhibition of your work created during the residency with opening reception and Instagram marketing. Artwork will be for sale.
30% discount to the NewYorkArt.com art gallery website and 30% discount for a future exhibition booth in the New York Art Center, NYAFAIR.
Opportunity to donate your work to the Townley Arts Foundation.
Cost per person for the 5 day residency $1500.
