Susan Lawrence was born and raised in Santa Monica, CA. She studied art at the Instituto Allende, in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. Her journeys have taken her all over the world to experience many people and cultures, documenting them in paintings and photos.
Landscapes and portraits are part of her artistic journey. Susan has spent time with the White Mountain Apache Tribe in Eastern Arizona over many years documenting the Coming of Age Ceremony of young Apache women. Her new ABSTRACT work focuses on MOVEMENTS IN NATURE and is inspired by time outdoors hiking, traveling and immersing herself in nature
