An allegory of the imprisonment of humanity under the scope of globalisation, capitalism, big brother, banks, big coorporations, environmental destruction,  and now fake health care. The fear of humans to be free, they are overcome by COVID-19 fear and are therefore easy prey to manipulation.

Angeliki Boletsi

Antinea is based  in the United Kingdom and Greece; she travels extensively.

Antinea has a pure and intact talent in painting, which is enriched by real life lessons. She aspires to connect mankind through her art and it is a pleasure to follow her steps.

She is contemporary artist who has travelled extensively and has been taught by great tutors. However, her approach to painting is a combination of classical and impressionistic style that seems to be generally led by her gut instinct. Landscapes, Still Life and primarily Portraits, are seen most often when one contemplates her portfolio. This iconography is not haphazard. It mirrors her travels, her impressions and her passion respectively.

Antinea’s focus on portraiture is all about the human spirit and captivating her sitter’s inner feelings. Her x rays upon her subject matter are her brushes and paints and the outcome is impressive. As a result of her many travels, Antinea has a unique sense of inspiration as she is fascinated by everyday day people, and nature; she strives to capture their gestures and inner world, their true essence. Her main goal, in her own words, is to draw the viewer into the moment of each of her paintings.
