Original Art Work
2007
Candace was travelling by camel in the Wahabi Sands desert of Oman looking for crystals to use in her work. This encaustic on panel painting came out of that experience. She loved seeing how the shapes of camels and the desert dunes were the same and how the colours of the dress of her Bedouin travelling companions also matched with the changing desert light.
This painting has still pointed sand as well as rose quartz. This quartz helps to open the heart chakra to receive and give love more easily where the treated sand helps to create a space of perfect balance. The earth tones in the encaustic resonate to the 10th chakra, the nature chakra deep beneath our feet that connects us to the energies of the earth and all her beings. The impasto in this piece adds much texture and lets us travel into the magic of the desert with its fluidity and subtle coloration.

Candace Wilson
Candace studied at les Beaux Arts in France but, her travels in the deserts of Africa and Oman, Antarctica and the Arctic that serve as her true place of learning and inspiration. Her creative process is fuelled by a desire to shift the consciousness of her viewers and abstract form allows a freedom to achieve this. One can go beyond the named and recognized, to move into that space of being where energy resides without borders...the space in-between. Without the conditioning imposed by language or labels, consciousness awakens, and the paintings exist as themselves, not as preconceived images or ideas. By incorporating newly understood quantum energetics, Candace has created works that affect body, mind, and spirit. With conscious use of intentionality, colour vibration, gemstones, sacred music and geometry, and zero pointing her work shifts both resonance and consciousness. Recognizing the beneficial effect for their patients, healing facilities are now acquiring Candace's work. She is widely collected internationally, both corporately and privately.
