“Forms of Protection”
Forms of Protection is exploring the different ways that we keep ourselves safe, in our surroundings and environments, and the shapes that are created from these feelings. Soft and warm, transparent and see through in areas asare the ways in which we protect ourselves. For me this collection’s journey was about finding and forming the type of design and art that I wish to create. Designing with the purpose to create something unique and special to the wearer that will make them feel safe and happy. As the recycling aspect of this collection I saved all the pieces of fabric as I cut and am forming these into children’s toys and houseware such as rugs/ kitchen appliances. To me, every single piece of material is precious, and with that in mind this is how I wish to continue creating.
