Valbona Dedvukaj is an Albanian American Artist located in Detroit, Michigan. Her focus as an artist is always relaying back to her Albanian background and viewpoints as a woman. Using energy, passion, and movement in her paintings allows her to express her personality and ideas. As a child of an immigrant family, Valbona has found herself in the middle of two worlds, which inspires her art sequentially. Being the daughter of an Albanian patriot she has witnessed and has seen the world of betrayal, passion, and sorrow, while living the benefits of being an American. She believes worldly issues seem so small when only spoken about. The very reason she paints, is to share a hidden truth, to uncover a dark secret that the world is afraid to admit.
