Equinox: April 4 - May 1

Opening Reception: Thursday, April 4, 6-9pm

Exhibition Dates: April 4 - May 1, 2019

7 Franklin Place, New York

March 23, 2019

NYA Gallery is pleased to present a group exhibition featuring over 50 exceptional artists, curated by Shane Townley. Historically, cultures from around the world have marked the annual cosmological event of the vernal equinox with festivals, rituals, and other celebratory forms. In keeping with these traditions, Equinox presents a set of multimedia artists exploring concepts and themes related to renewal, rebirth, and regeneration all while calling attention to art’s capacity to serve as a restorative, rejuvenating force in the wake of life’s many cycles. The exhibition title also references the historic milestone in the life of the gallery: its recent move and expansion to 7 Franklin Place. As such, the show marks a new beginning for the gallery and its network of artists, collectors, and patrons.
