The warmth of bright sunlight fills the garden, illuminating the flowers and reflecting off an ancient cottage with blue shudders. A young woman relaxes, absorbed in a novel of romance and adventure, while surrounded by the beauty of nature and the scent of lavender.
Visiting Provence is like taking a step back in time where days stretched longer and life was simpler. The great impressionists left the confines of the city and abandoned the classical perfection of their culture. They chose to focus on light and color. They captured the essence of the sensuous splendor of being present in the moment.
My love of impressionist painting has taken me on journeys through the countryside of France to absorb the depth and richness of nature’s bounty, so that I may share those images and emotions felt and experienced through my paintings with you.
