My current work represents an ongoing study of daily routines, coupled with the impact of technology in our daily lives. I am particularly interested individual or social patterns, routines, spaces, color, lines and shapes concealed or overlooked within the distractions of daily life.
Patterns emerge from circumstances, social environments, or from a singular aspect of life. Color is essential and is continuously evolving with technology, offering new spectrums to express a wide array of concrete thought to intangibles, physical, metaphorical and emotional gestures.
With the progression of life, its conditions and emerging technologies, conventional social patterns, physical shapes, and colors evolve and transform themselves. From the concrete to the virtual, psychological and physical. Technology has an irreversible impact on us as individuals and as a society.
I look to explore the beauty in the simplicity that lies within the layers of complexity.
In the creative process, I integrate a collaboration between my own photography, drawings, graphic design and handmade templates, which generate the underlying foundation for the painting. The process continues to evolve on the board.
