“I was born in India in the year 1984 and currently live in New York. My work is mostly abstract, spontaneously created with an underlying theme that is an impression of my mind. My vibrant paintings often tell a story or a message that I choose to convey in my own words along with the artwork. I thereby combine art and poetry to give a new perspective to my paintings. This, I believe, enhances the viewers experience.
My method of execution is purely experimental – an amalgamation of different techniques and media, creating various textures and potpourri of color, as they are allowed to mingle on their own without much intervention. I love to touch and feel color while painting , so do not use brushes. The tactile quality of the surface of my artwork adds to the aesthetics.
My passion for painting, as a medium to express my deepest emotions, made me quit my job as a software engineer. After a few group shows I got a major break with my first solo painting exhibition in India. My work was greatly appreciated both in India and abroad. I was profiled in major national dailies and also by an International Art journal published by Arts Council of England.”
