GR Gallery is pleased to present “OFF THE WALL”, a duo exhibition by Brad Howe and J. Demsky. Both artists, although using different techniques, develop their researches through geometric shapes, optical pattern, bright and pastel colors and a joyful approach to art and life. The exhibition puts together 20 works including paintings, sculptures and installations that analyze the interaction and contrast between 2D and 3D optic illusion.

Beneath the Surface: Recent Works by Charity Henderson explores various psychological states through mixed media paintings of the human face. With blurred, fragmented edges and faded areas, these portrait-style works question the complexities of emotional concealment, thought, and identity. Henderson works on translucent materials such as mylar, Denril, and Dura-lar, which accentuate the impression of an obscured or hidden sensibility. On January 28, the artist will be in conversation with psychoanalyst and great teacher of Freud, Loren Dent, about the origin and meaning of images that speak of our human commonality, and about the potential role of the artist as a revelator.
