Syd Glasser’s studio in the chashama Workspace Program has become a place of solace and meditation. Often combining the beauty she finds in urban and architectural decay with images of figures and horses, her process pushes the boundary between abstract and representation and also tests our expectations of the appearance of traditional subjects.
For Syd Glasser, art is about the process and experimentation. Trained in figure studies, her current work includes images based on aspects of her life and illustrates moments of strength and vulnerability as they are witnessed and experienced.
