Marcs mother lives in Israel and she is also an artist. Her work although very different from Marks greatly influenced him.
At this point in Marcs life his creative art really took off into the modern and abstract. He painted obsessively late into the night sometimes not sleeping for days.
Mark has five grandchildren and often paints with them and teaches them many artistic skills.
Mark resides in the Sephardic community of Brooklyn where his artistic talent is renown.
I am amazed at what a brush and some paint can do. All I have to do is look around me and I paint what I see in my abstract way, I am very influenced by the world around me.
I find modern art or abstract art to be very free there are no rules there are no limitations. I can't function with restrictions and limits. I'm not a lover of custom work even though I do it anyway .
My goal is to bring beauty and pleasure into the homes of many that is why my work is very eclectic, in order to fulfill the desires of many you must look at the world from their eyes not just your own.
I was born in Israel so my history influences me greatly I have painted the Wailing Wall in many different ways, traditionally and abstractly.
What I see on the streets and the neighborhoods of Brooklyn and New York affect me as well,I love street art, New York has some of the most talented street artists.
The great tragedy of 9/11 had a great effect on me, it strenghthened my love of democracy and freedom, which is why we all came to live in this great country of ours.I started
using the flag the American flag as A way of expressing those feelings. I have created several sculptures that are very special to me.
My favorite mediums are acrylics, of course, inks, cement, compound, and resin.
Basically, my work is about beauty, that is what I want to give, beauty, that is what I strive for, that is what motivates me, and the world around me. The praise of others is very important to me. I live for it.
